BRUSSELS WESTLAND SHOPPING MALL

This time I take you to one of the biggest shopping malls in Brussels. It's a nice place to walk around especially when it is cold and rainy.

The entrance. There is a parking space for about 1000 cars

some advertising

Oriental food, cheese shop, stationary shop and a butchery

furniture

Freshly baked pancakes (crèpes), cigarette and liquors, and a stand to try a new Martini

Some play things for the kids

and in the middle of the mall a huge bird cage from the floor to the ceiling with quite a lot of birds.

Time to chat and have a drink

or win a car

The biggest parfum store

escalators to the second floor

cloth shops

The new winter fashion.

Belgian chocolate

Jewelry

Invites for a coffee

The second floor

Boots and shoes

Underwear

and a nicely decorated ceiling.

You can easily spend the whole day in there if you want.

Malls in America are the new place for folk to gather, much like the town squares of old. Yes, you can spend the whole day here and the weather is always perfect. And now they have them in Belgium.
Great photos.

Now THIS looks a bit more like OUR shopping malls! At least the newer/nicer ones! It just occurred to me though how WEIRD it would be to walk through your mall and not be able to READ anything! I had never thought about that before!
